Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana

"I try to have two vegetables per meal and I only give the kids a few ounces of meat. I try to encourage them to eat whole grains when we have it. My grandson love apples. Instead of buying a bunch of junk food, I’ll buy a big bag of mixed fruit. They can eat as much of that as they want. I encourage them to have water instead of cold drinks, maybe one juice per day and every so often, a soft drink. They have too much sugar."
