"After my husband passed away, it was hard, it was really hard. I had to make it on one income and when he was living, I had two incomes, mine and his. I had to learn to do what I had to do. Everything that comes up that I feel can help me, I apply for it. Applying for food stamps was kind of disgusting. You know, the person who was interviewing me wasn't very nice and when I applied for food stamps, I didn't know anything about computers. She didn't help me. She said I have to do it myself or bring someone else to help me. She seemed upset so I just left."
